IMPORTANT DATES
Dear Parents/Carers,
Staff and students helped Miss Williamson celebrate her last day at
Nyngan PS as Miss Williamson. We look forward to welcoming her
back in Term 4 as Mrs Cleaver. Kinder have been rehearsing!!
Mrs Bell worked her final day for 2019 at Nyngan PS this week. We
wish Emily and Simon all the best as they prepare to welcome
Audrey’s little brother / sister into the family.
Sadly, staff and students farewelled Rata today. After almost 3 years
of serving many favourites to staff and students Rata has decided to
retire from running the Nyngan PS canteen. Nyngan PS will
commence Term 4 with no canteen. Process will commence in Term
4 for leasing the canteen for the 2020 school year.
I would like to wish all families a happy, safe, enjoyable ad relaxing
holiday. School commences MONDAY 14th October. There is NO
staff development day.

CWA INTERNATIONAL DAY
On Tuesday some of our Year 5 and 6 students walked to the CWA hall to celebrate CWA
International Day. The country they studied this year was Papua New Guinea. The students
have been working hard all term to create their PowerPoints about Papua New Guinea. The
Year 6 students also performed a traditional Papua New Guinea dance. Thankyou to Lee
Thornton who organised this event and to Di Donald for judging the PowerPoints. Di said she
thoroughly enjoyed reading all the entries. Also a big thankyou to the CWA ladies for
providing a lovely afternoon tea. Congratulations to the following students who were awarded
prizes on the day.

MOORAMBILLA
We would like to wish Kate, Samuel, Mia, Isabella, Shania, Nicholas and Trinity all the best
as they perform at the Moorambilla Voices Gala Concert at Dubbo on Friday 27th and
Saturday 28th September.
CREATIVE CREATURES
On Wednesday some of our Year 3 and 4 students
attended the Creative Creatures workshop held at
Barnardos. We would like to thank Aleshia
Lonsdale, a well established Aboriginal Artist,
based in Mudgee for giving our students the
opportunity to attend this workshop. The children
had a great time making creatures and objects out of
raffia.
YEAR 12 VISIT
On Monday we had some of our ex students visit us to reminise about their primary school
days. They had a walk around the school with Miss Pearce and as is tradition, to
commemorate their 13 years of school, they got to sign the sports press doors as many have
done before. We would like to wish them all the best as they embark on the next chapter of
their lives.
GOANNA WOODWORK
Yesterday was the last day of the 10
week program run by Tim Naden from
Goanna Woodwork. We would like to
thank Tim for giving our students this
fantastic opportunity to learn about
Aboriginal art. The children looked
forward to meeting each Thursday
morning to continue with their artwork.
