Healthy Eating Case Study
Aims To tackle childhood obesity in primary school children To improve the nutritional quality of packed lunches and Promote school meals.
Objectives To work with Primary Schools focusing on improving packed lunches. To provide education sessions to each school year to inform and inspire
the pupils and parents to create balanced packed lunches.
Method Survey of all pupil’s lunches before and after the project (Meal or No
Meal) Healthy eating lessons from dietitians Song to teach the children about the food groups Each pupil set their own target for improvements Stickers and house points as a reward for pupils with fruit Tasty teas for parents including school meal tasting Packed lunch leaflets with ideas and recipes Assemblies

Physical Activity work in RBWM
SMILE prevent trips/slips and falls in older people, improve
balance, co-ordination and general well being. Prevent older people becoming isolated by offering activities in the Borough for over 50s 60s 70s & 80s.
3000 people a month 50 sessions a week offering;
Beginners Aerobics, Short Tennis, Gym, Chair based exercise, Short Mat Bowls, Circuit based class, Aerobics, Yoga, Ballroom Dancing, Walking and Pilates.
Physical Activity work in RBWM
Fit for Life aimed at 14+ to adults and families. Includes a range of
sports/activities to encourage residents to try different activities and find sports/activities they want to continue on a weekly basis.
Fire Fit – to support 20 vulnerable children and families to embed
healthy eating and physical activity practices into daily lives, and improve psychological wellbeing and self-esteem.
School Sports Partnerships RBWM has 2, Charters School and the second jointly
hosted by Windsor Boys' School and Windsor Girls' School.
