(57) Abstract :
Permanent Magnet BLDC Motor Our PMBLDC motor is designed and fabricated with 60V 800 W electronic specifications with 1200
W maximum power output. Other EV motors are available with 48V specifications. Our three phase, three half effect sensor motor
with the characteristics of high speed and high power density has been widely accepted across customers for use in EV applications.
As for the design of the motor drive system, a simulation method has been used for studying parameters related to design the iron core
thickness, number of turns, control mode angle, motor rotation direction etc. The torque characteristic of a BLDC motor is kept very
important factor in the design of the motor drive system and is reckoned at 17 Nm which is equivalent to torque of 125 cc IC engine.
Particular attention was paid to the motor large-signal and small-signal dynamics and motor torque pulsations. Every instance of a
power device turning on or off was simulated to calculate the current oscillations and resulting torque pulsations. Speed of the motor
detecting point was rated as 840 (+40,-40) rpm with detection point efficiency of 80 %, which is quite high as compare to other
electric vehicle motors available for customer. The results indicate that the small and large signal responses are very similar. This
result is only true when the timing of the input phase currents with the back EMF (electromotive force) is correct. The outer casing is
made up of aluminum and is sealed magnetically precluding any chances of contamination from external sources. ABSTRACT
Lithium Ion-Battery Management System Our Lithium Ion battery is 60V 24 AH system made up of Samsung cells-18650 cylindrical
cells. Almost 21 simulation tests have been run on the pack to increase the safety and durability. Some of tests performed are Thermal
Abuse, Charge/Discharge, External Shock Test, Impact test and many more. Our battery management system for 60V 24 Ah Li-ion
battery is an advanced domain highly suitable for vehicle integration module. Unlike before, we have incorporated cloud computation
facility in our BMS where every statistics related to the battery cell emf, temperature, humidity level present inside the pack can be
reckoned and recorded on cloud further creating scope for data analytics. Customers problems will be addressed in a much more
advance manner without relying on other sources. Bluetooth low energy USB 2.0 is installed in the SMD where recorded data is
transferred to the device (most likely to be a cell phone) in the range of 10 meters which adds credential to the BMS. Our initiative in
designing advanced BMS is inspired through active perseverance in the practices of making smart electric scooters. To avoid self
ionization of battery cells due to humidity presence, Silica gels are added to eradicate water molecules thus making the battery pack
more reliable.

(57) Abstract :
The demand of automatic banknote recognition system has tremendously grown on account of its widespread applications. There are
many significant areas which entail the automatic banknote recognition systems like money exchange systems, dispensing machines,
ATMs, electronic banking, currency monitoring systems, vending machines, payment counters etc. All these systems firstly require
the banknote recognition system to identify the monetary value of the note so that further action can be taken based on monetary
value. These automatic banknote recognition systems are also in demand to assist the visually impaired persons who could not
accurately identify the banknotes especially newly introduced banknotes in Indian currency. Though, RBI has embed many features
like intaglio printing for the visually impaired persons but sometimes those people could not recognize the correct monetary value of
the note. Generally, automatic banknote recognition machines have high cost, large size and are inefficient for noisy and tilted
notes. The proposed system, therefore presents the cost-effective and compact solution for automatic banknote recognition. Its
algorithm is designed on Linux platform with the BeagleBone Black processing board to produce a standalone recognition system. It
is a camera based solution and works well with 5 MP images of banknotes. The image of the banknote is captured and firstly pre-
processed to reduce the noise content and produce accurate denomination value. The image is also down-sampled and then
categorized according to the color of vertical band into groups of Red, Green and Blue. Template matching of the extracted region of
interest with the stored database is performed only within the color groups to facilitate the fast and accurate recognition. Normalized
cross-correlation is used for matching the features of segmented region of interest with stored template. The proposed system
announces the -denomination of the-banknote onspeaker-particularly for visually impaired persons. This system also converts the
denomination of banknote into another currency as prompted by the user. This system provides robust solution to recognition of other
countrys currency also.

(57) Abstract :
Skid Resistance of any type of asphalt mix usually increases with increasing aggregate size and decreasing edge-to-edge spacing , and
this fact can be quantified on the basis of Markov property. A normal trend of increase in skid resistance (both wet and dry) in terms
of coefficientb of friction with an increase in Mean Texture Depth (MTD) can be analyzed in the light of neuroassociator based
machine learning rule. The impact of the Mean Texture Depth (MTD) in developing friction in case of stochastic incidence of rainfall
can be governed by temporal fuzzy logic based machine learning rule.

(57) Abstract :
ABSTRACT OF INVENTION Synthetic seed production and usage is rapidly growing branch of seed biotechnology majorly because
of the problems encountered during the storage and transport of propagules. We report the production of synthetic seed using fungal
mycelium as inoculant. The organism has been isolated from tissue cultured Withania somnifera plant and characterised. The
organism showed negative for fatty acid esterase test while positive for nitrite assimilation and resistance, gelatine hydrolysis and
cellulose test. The 16s RNA result showed the organism to be Cladosporium oxvsporum .The mycelium of the organism was included
in the synthetic seed production and encapsulated seeds with and without mycelium were stored at 4C . The seeds encapsulated with
mycelium remained fresh for more than 15 days while without mycelium dried within a period of 5 days .Thus, inclusion of inoculants
during the production of syntheticseed enhances the shelf life and stability.

(57) Abstract :
Patent Abstract: Indian Sign Language Recognition (ISLR) system is designed in this study which uses two different modalities; hand
gesture images and Non-Audible Murmur (NAM) speech signal. Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) is used for extracting image
based features and Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients (MFCC) is used for signal based features. Two classification approaches; K
Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Hidden Markov model (HMM) are used for the recognition or classification. Our system is considered
as a pattern recognition approach for recognizing 26 English alphabets. Segmentation of hand gesture is done using Otsu thresholding
and morphological operations in order to isolate hand gesture from the background. DWT based energy features are utilized to predict
the hand gestures into one of the English alphabets with the help of KNN and HMM. The classifiers are independently applied on the
extracted features for the recognition and further improvement on recognition accuracy is made by hybrid classification. It has the
ability to recognize the ISLR with a maximum average accuracy of 70.48% (KNN-Euclidean classifier), 80.34% (HMM classifier),
and 85.07% (hybrid classifier). The NAM speech signals are the unvoiced speech that can be heard by the NAM microphones. As the
recorded NAM speech signal contains noises due to the movement of the user, simple median filter is applied to reduce the noise.
From the de-noised signal, MFCCs are extracted as spectral features. It includes various information such as bandwidth, shape of
vocal tract and spectral energy. These features are fed to HMM and KNN classifier for the recognition. Results show that MFCCs
features of NAM speech signal alone provides a maximum average accuracy of 58.88% (KNN-Euclidean classifier), 62.58% (HMM
classifier), and 65.04% (hybrid classifier). In order to achieve higher accuracy, the MFCC features from the NAM signal and wavelet
based features extracted at 3rd level of decomposition along with hand area from the hand gesture images are linearly combined for
the classification. The linear combination of features provide a maximum average accuracy of 72.55% (KNN-Euclidean classifier),
82.29% (HMM classifier), and 88.06% (hybrid classifier). From the experimental results, it is concluded that the ISLR system
provides 88.06%) maximum average classification accuracy while hybridizing classifiers and features from both modalities; speech
signal and hand gesture images. Also, the accuracy of each alphabet is over 82%.

(57) Abstract :
Air Conditioner is one of the most Energy Consuming Electrical Devices for Industrial and Residential Applications. But the Problem
discussed by the Environmentalist and the Energy Conservative Department is that the Air Conditioner is running for Several Hours
even though the Outside Temperature is less. The Temperature of the Room might Increase, while we go to bed at Night. But after
Few Hours, the Temperature starts Decreasing and this is because of the Ambient Temperature, which is not Directly Proportional to
the Indoor Temperature, since the Buildings are highly insulated. If the temperature difference is more between the floors then the air
conditioning system has to work more time to cool the room. Air Conditioner releases Twice as much Heat than its Cooling System,
which highly Increases the Night Temperature than that was during Day Time. Unless we Measure the External Temperature, we
cannot Determine, Whether the Air Conditioner is Must or Not. For this, we had developed a Perspective Air Cooling System with the
help of ETS, which helps to reduce the Power Consumption effectively.

ABSTRACT Mixing Paddle with phase shifted blades and auxiliary paddles in Bio-composting machines and Organic Waste
Converters A mixing paddle for mixers or bio-composters or Organic waste converters is disclosed. In order to realize energy efficient
mixing with a high mixing performance, it is proposed to provide on the mixing paddle, blades configured with split blade design that
are wider at the shaft and further phase shifted at various angles to the axis of the shaft such that the mass is subjected to uniform
churning and the load is along the shear plane of the blade. It is further proposed to provide a main paddle and an auxiliary paddle in
each side of the blade, configured in such a way that the auxiliary paddle is phase shifted to the main paddle and placed at half the
distance between the shaft and the main paddle. The mixing paddle is particularly suitable for composters and organic waste
converters, wherein even bulk masses like whole fruits, vegetables, bones, meat, etc. are required to be smashed to pieces or pulp. This
design is more tolerant to foreign objects like spoons, plastic cups are smashed into pieces, and on the whole leads to reduced energy
requirements.

(57) Abstract :
This invention discloses the method of producing quantum-dot-solid-sheets, by which a new form of graphene material with strong
intrinsic optical absorption and photoluminescence emission properties.Thegraphene quantum dot solid sheets were prepared by
fusing the graphene quantum dots using ad atoms as interconnecting agent. Given the properties this form of graphenewill have
resultant semiconducting properties, which can be used in solar cells and other electronic devices. The methodology includes the
adding of an organic carbon source, an organic agent to initiate the condensation reaction and a metal chloride in to a metal vessel and
heating the vessel to not less than 150 C and for 180 minutes or more. The reaction fuses the initially formed graphene quantum dots
by specific metal atoms to produce graphene quantum dot fused solid sheets. The graphene quantum dot solid sheets produce a strong
intrinsic emission yield of 36 %, by the indirect excitation under energy transfer process.

(57) Abstract :
A microwave material characterisation technique / device is proposed here. The cavity perturbation theory used in three dimensional
waveguide cavity is effectively utilised in planar prototypes. A planar microstrip transmission line is converted in to microstrip
resonant cavity by suitable placing two resonating posts on the predefined locations, this is the main invention in this patent. These
symmetrical resonant post will create standing wave along the microstrip transmission line and produce a high quality resonant
peak. The frequency band of peak and quality factor depends on the material around the device. The sample placed at the correct
location will be affected by fringing fields. Depending on the relative permittivity and loss tangent of the sample the resonant
frequency shift and change in quality factor occurs. By measuring both the shift in frequency and quality factor along with the volume
of sample, dielectric constant and loss tangent can be calculated.

(57) Abstract :
Multilevel inversion can be achieved when an AC motor with open-end stator windings is fed by the dual-inverter system. Four-level
Open-End Winding Induction Motor Drives realized earlier, with two isolated DC power supplies, suffer from the problem of
imbalance in the DC-link voltages. It was shown that four-level inversion can be achieved when a rectifier-inverter combination with a
stiff DC-link feeding one end of the open-stator winding, is nested within another of such a combination feeding the other end.
However, this circuit topology needs three isolated power supplies (i.e. higher number of components). The present invention
simultaneously achieves the charge balancing of the capacitors, avoidance of the zero-sequence current through the motor phase
windings and a reduction in the overall cost of the drive system, compared to the case, wherein three isolated power supplies are used.
