A. LoadingPelletsPut the rifle on safe. (Step 2)Pointthe rifle in"a safedirection.Pullthe boltall the way back. (Step 2A)Placeonepellet,noseforward,in the loadingport(breech). (Fig.4)
Lightly push the pellet into the barrel by closingandlockingtheboll. DONOTjam theboltforward.Thiswill damageyour rifle.
• Besure the boltis closedbeforefiring. If it is notclosedandfullylocked,airmayremainin the rifleandthe pelletmaynotbe discharged.

B. Unloading Pellets
• Put the rifleon safe. (Step2)• Pump the rifle up to 8 times, aim in a SAFE
DIRECTION, take off and fire.
• Another way of unloading your r ifle is to followthe directions listed under Step 6 - Removing aJammedPellet.
Step 5.Aiming and Firing Safely
A. Aimingthe Rifle
Alwaysaimyour riflein aSAFEDIRECTION. Whenyou are sure of your target and backstopand theareaaroundthetargetis clear,takethe rifleoff safeandsqueezethe triggerto fire.
Don't shoot at hard surfaces or at the surface ofwater.Thepelletmaybounceoffandhitsomeoneorsomethingyou hadnot intendedto hit.
Therifleiscorrectlyaimedwhenthefrontsightbladeis positionedexactly inthe notch of the rear sight.Thetop of thefrontsight bladeshouldbe evenwiththe top of the notch in the rear sight. The bullseyeshouldappear to reston the top of the front sight.(Fig. 5)

B. SightAdjustment• The rear sight may be adjustedto shoot higheror
lower(elevation). Turn the elevationscrewclockwiseto makethe pellet hit higheron the target. Turn theelevationscrewcounterclockwise to makethe pellethit loweron thetarget. (Fig.6)
Therearsightmay-also beadjustedto shoot rightorleft (windage). Tomakethe pellethitfurther to thelefton thetarget, loosenthewindagescrewon the rightsideofthesightandtightenthewindagescrewontheleft side of the sight.Tomake thepellethit further tothe righton thetarget, loosenthewindagescrewontheleftsideofthesightandtightenthewindagescrewonthe riqht sideof the siQht. C.Withthe boltin theopenposition,inserta cleaningrod(cleaningrodscanbe orderedfromthefactory)intothemuzzleendof thebarrelandgentlypushthejammedpelletintothepelletloadingport(forwardof thebolt). (Fig.8) Don't try to reusethat pelletagain.
D.lf forsomereasonyouareunabletounjamyourrifle,returnit to thefactoryandwewill unjamit foryoufreeof chargeduringthe warrantyperiod.

• Onlythepumpleverpivotpoint,crosshead pivotpoint, andtheleverpivotrivetshould occasionally beoiled LIGHTLY (oneor twodrops). Don'tover-oil. Thiscancausedamage to your rifle.(Fig.·9)
• If the accuracy of yourriflefalls off, runa firmbut freefittingpatchthrough the barrel. Besureto usea cleanng rodof thepropersizethatwill notdamage thebarrel.
• Tampering withthegunor attempts to changethe gunin anywaymakeit unsafe to use,If youdropyourgun,checkit toseethatitworksproperlybefore youuseit again. Ifanything seems changed , likea shorterorweakertriggerpull,thismaymeanwornoutor broken parts. Don'tuseit againuntilyou'vehad it checked by our factoryservicedepartment

• Stopusinga backstopif it becomesworn. Placebackstopin a locationthatwillbe safeshouldthebackstopfail .Do notattemptto disassembleor tamperwith your gun. (TargetTrapcan beordereddirectlyfromthe factory.)A heavyblanketshouldbehungbehindthe TargetTrap to preventricochetor pelletsbouncingoff shouldyou rnlss thebackstop.Alwayswearshootingglassesto protectyour eyes. -
• Don't shootathardsurfacesorat thesurfaceofwater.Thepelletmaybounceoffandhitsomeoneorsomethingyouhadnot intendedto hit.
• Your backstopshouldbe checkedfor wear beforeandafter each use.Stop usinganybackstopif thesurfaceisworn or damagedor if thepelletbouncesoff or'ricochets.
• Your airgunisdesignedfor targetshootingandis suitedfor both indoorandoutdooruse.Alwaysremembertoplace yourtarget carefully: THINKwhat youwill hit if youmissyourtarget!
