The Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum houses the Dead Sea Scrolls & rare ancient manuscripts; the white dome symbolizes the lids of the jars in which the scrolls were found
Found in the grounds of the museum (top right clockwise): a 3rd-century sarcophagus, a 2nd-cnetury marble pedestal, & segments of a water pipe built by Roman military units that carried water from Solomon’s Pools to Jerusalem
