TERRITORY River otters mark their territory by rubbing musk on logs and stones.

NOCTURNALOtters are actually nocturnal. Which means they are active at night and sleep at daytime.

OTTERS TOESOtters have five toes on each foot.

FURThe fur on the river otter side and back is a rich black brown color. How cute they are!

MATINGSea otters will mate any time of
the year. The male and female
stay together for about 3 days at
mating.

DIETSea otters eat kelp. Kelp is a brown seaweed with large stems that grow up to 200 feet! That’s tall!
