MOLECULAR AND CELLULLAR EFFECT OF

AngeloAzzi’s group (1991) first described nonantioxidant, cell signaling
functions for vitamin E, demonstrating that vitamin E regulate protein
kinase C activity in smooth muscle cells.
At the transcriptional level, vitamin E modulates the expression of the
hepatic a-tocopherol transfer protein (TTP)
as well as the expression collagenase gene and a-tropomyosin gene
a tocopherol-dependent transcription factor (tocopherol associated
protein, TAP) has been discovered.
In cultured cells, t vitamin E inhibits inflammation, cell adhesion, platelet
aggregation, and smooth muscle cell proliferation.

seluler, replikasi, transkripsi serta ekspresi gen yangdipengaruhi oleh peran molekul zat gizi.
Mata kuliah ini juga membahas teknik penelitian dan
prinsip pengukuran di tingkat seluler dan molekuler
beserta contoh aplikasinya.
