Showtime
The Showtime project taps into children’s love of storytelling and
performing while supporting Maryland’s standards for the fine arts, including music, dance, and theater.
?
Children tell a story through a performance.
Family members can suggest a field trip location, celebrate with
children at the culminating event, and support children's learning at
home.
During Showtime, children learn how to use music, dance, and
theater — along with characters, settings, and props — to enhance
their own stories and present their own performances.
Children take a field trip to a community theater or high school/college drama program to see a live performance.
