Attendance is important!
• Too many absences: the school may contact you
• After 15 absences in a row, a student will be unenrolled. Upon return, the student will need to register again. A place is not guaranteed.

• A student is tardy after 7:50 am
• Please walk your child into the school if tardy
• Sign the log

• Your child is going home a different way

• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Contagious Illness (Flu, Chicken pox, etc.)
CLINIC PROCEDURES:Too Sick for School
• Slight cold (no fever)

• Before doctor’s appointment

CLINIC PROCEDURES:Okay for School
• Your child must go home if he/she: vomits at school or has fever of 100 or higher.
• Students must be fever-free (without medicine) for 24 hours before coming back to school.
• You will be called if your child is injured at school.
• Inform the school about any allergies or health issues that your child has!
CLINIC PROCEDURES:Other information
• If your child needs to take any medicine at school (prescription or over-the-counter), please bring it plus a note to Mrs. Castaneda. She will administer the medicine to your child in the clinic.
• Your child cannot carry medicine (Tylenol, cough drops, allergy pills)
• The clinic can administer Tylenol if you signed the space on the emergency card.

• To buy breakfast or lunch at school, your child must bring money or have money in their lunch account
• If you send lunch money to school, please put it in a sealed envelope with your child’s name and ID number on it

• Free or reduced lunch/breakfast applications are available
• The cafeteria will send a note or stamp your child's hand if you need to send money
• Children enter their student ID number on an electronic keyboard in the cafeteria

• Chips, juice, water bottles, cheese sticks, cookies and ice cream cost extra
• Parents can have lunch with child in cafeteria
• If you send food to school, healthy food provides energy for learning
• Fruit, veggies, cheese, crackers, popcorn are healthy
• Please keep sweet treats to a minimum
• No sharing food: allergies
• No food for birthday celebrations
