STATE TIMES NEWS DODA: To educate and trainthe orchardists of the districtwith latest techniques offarming, Department ofHorticulture Doda organiseda five-day study tour to vari-ous locations of Kashmirunder title 'Training of farm-ers within State'.

The study tour organisedunder MIDH and ATMAscheme was flagged off fromKhelleni Zone by MLA DodaShakti Parihar in presence ofChief Horticulture Officer(CHO) Doda Madan Lal andHDO Assar Rahat Bashir.

"A group of 20 farmerswere sent on study tour'Training of farmers withinsatate' for five days to

Kashmir Valley to get latestknowledge about training,pruning and other nurseryand orchard managementtechniques," said CHO Doda,adding that the orchardistsare accompanied with ourHDO Assar Rahat Bashir to

give them proper knowledgeand training.

During five-days tour, theorchardist will visitSKAUST-K, Fish FarmingInstitute, CITH and othergovernment farms and nurs-eries.

STATE TIMES NEWSR S PURA: Border Security Force (BSF) held a free eyecamp in the border village Makwal, RS Pura in which hun-dereds of villagers were checked for various eye ailments. Thecamp was inaugurated by the Commandant of 127thBattalion of BSF Abhitab Pawar on Friday.

Dr Mandeep Singh and Dr Chandel checked up the eyes andprovided them free eye drops.

The doctors also imparted proper guidance to the benefici-aries about the cataracts of the patients and its preventions.Over 400 border villagers were checked up in the camp

The Chief Guest said that BSF resorts to such camps forthe benefit of people under Civic Action Programme in whichthe people should come forward in large number.
