SAN DIEGO — The cast of“The Hunger Games” ismaking its Comic-Condebut, alongwith the trail-er for “TheH u n g e rG a m e s :C a t c h i n gFire.”

J e n n i f e rL a w r e n c e ,Josh Hutcher-s o n , L i a mHemsworthand Lenny Kravitz wereamong the film’s stars who

watched the trailer for thefirst time Saturday with morethan 6,000 dedicated fans.

Lawrence and Hutcher-son also talked about theirkissing scenes in the film.She said they involved “a lotof slobber.”

Hutcherson said, “It willbe really hot if you’re intosnot.”

Lawrence also discussedtraining for the stunts sheperforms in the film butnoted, “the hardest stunt isprobably still just basic run-ning.”

She said she runs “weird”and added that she had arunning coach for the film.

Lawrence, who won thebest actress Oscar earlier thisyear for her role in “SilverLinings Playbook” and waspreviously nominated for“Winter’s Bone,” said thatthe Hunger Games VictoryTour is not unlike navigatingHollywood’s awards season.

“The stakes weren’t ashigh,” she quipped. Contes-t a n t s i n “ T h e Hu n g e rGames” must kill their com-petitors.

The actress also madeanother Oscars-“HungerGames” connection: Herfavorite costume from thenew film is a voluminouswedding dress with a skirt

Cosplay enthusiasts gath-ered Saturday night atComic-Con to get their geekon, participating in theannual Masquerade meantto celebrate creativity, imag-ination and costume mak-ings skills of all levels.

Fans, scores in their ownmulti-colored multiverse ofcostumes, began lining uphours early for one of the

pop-culture celebration’smost-anticipated events.They were rewarded with alittle bit of everything fromthe comic book, film, animeand video game worlds.

Some of the 38 contestentries aimed for authentic-ity, faithfully recreating Bat-man and Wonder Woman,others for camp.
