AMHS choirsAlexandria-Monroe High School choirs will perform in the Entertainment

Building on Saturday at 1 p.m.

The 2014 SmallTownU.S.A. Festival Committeewill honor the heritage ofAlexandria being namedSmallTown U.S.A. by theUnited States Department ofDefense during W.W.II byhosting a ‘Servicemen’s Ball’on Friday, Sept. 12 from 7 to11 p.m. in the 4-H b uildingduring the 2014 festival.

Local band, Quincy’s Brasswill entertain the crowd withits versatile play list coveringsongs from the 1940s to cur-rent music.

The band features a threepiece horn section, versatilevocalists, four-part har-monies, a rock-solid rhythmsection, and a high energystage presence. Quincy’sBrass’ song list includes top40 danceable cover tunes in

the genres of disco, rock,classic rock, pop, country, BigBand and Jazz allowing theband to entertain audiencesof any age.

Band members include,Jeff Culp on drums, ScottJones on guitar, Brad Laubon saxophone and vocals,Jeff McDaniel on keyboardand vocals, Jeff Poe on trum-pet and vocals, and JoeWilson on trumpet. The fourhour performance will includeapproximately 50 songs.

The band invites dancers ofall types, be it modern or agood old-fashion waltz, to jointhem to celebrate during thefestival. As Madison County’smost versatile band, Quincy’sBrass is well versed at play-ing to its crowd and will sure-ly provide entertainment for

everyone.Dinner will be served by

Fazolis from 7 to 9 p.m. andis included in the ticket price.

Veterans and servicemen/women are encouraged towear their uniforms, and asthe committee throws thetheme back to the WWII era,guests are invited to dress inthe style of the era.

The Lighthouse Band will perform on theEntertainment stage from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday.Enjoy an evening of country and gospel music.
