What is Guiding ???
Mission: مشن• “To provide opportunities for the development of girls and young
women, so that they become confident, patriotic and law abiding citizens capable of performing their duties in the home, as well as community and country”
Vision:وژن• We are a National Movement of empowered girls and young
women working as the agents of change to build a better world.
History• Pakistan Girl Guides Association was organized by Quaid-e-Azam
Mohammad Ali Jinnah on 29th December,1947.• Miss Fatima Jinnah was requested to become life patron of
Pakistan Girl Guides Association and Begum G.A.Khan was elected as the Chief Commissioner later designated as National Commissioner.
• Begum G.A.Khan, had been involved in the Girl Guide Movement as a young girl and was Provincial Guide Commissioner of the undivided Punjab before independence.

Pakistan Girl Guides Association has the status of a National Organization registered with the National Council of Social Welfare Voluntary Agencies act of 1961.The Association is protected and incorporated by Ordinance No. XLIV of 1960 by Government of Pakistan
History
• Girl Guides have been active in the area which is now Pakistan since 1911. In 1928 this area, along with that of present-day India and Bangladesh, became a Founder Member of WAGGGS under the name of India.• In 1948, the Pakistan Girl Guides Association was
welcomed as a separate member of WAGGGS.• The Association’s National Headquarters and Training
Centre was opened in Islamabad in 1974. It provides training to Guides, trainers and adult members of the Association, besides national events for Guides and Senior Guides.

• Motto : Be Prepared. • Salute: Three fingers salute from right hand.• Sign : Three straight fingers represents three
parts of promise and Quaid’s motto of unity faith and discipline. Thumb supporting the little finger represents, those who have more facilities will help and give voluntary services to those who have less facilities.• Guides do Left hand shake

There are four centers working currently.• Jigyot• Chak Shezaad • Tumair • MilotWe running school based project in :• Shah Allah Ditta (paying to science teachers)
What PGGA ICT conducts yearly:
Workshops, Trainings, Camps (Residential/Day), Social Service ProjectsPurpose of these is to prepare a motivated, skilled and effective force
through which Guiding goals are achieved . These trainings helps leaders to understand the Guiding program and its implementation, improve their knowledge, skills, attitude and social behavior.
PGGA ICT also have a broad network with other government or non-governmental institutions, by collaboration of those NGOs or Institutions we arrange programs and make our Girls and young women to participate in those events which are offered by other institutions.
Our Association also offer workshops, trainings, camps on National and International level.
