State Plan Goal: Skin Cancer & Melanoma p.50
Objective 1Evaluation: Pre and Post Survey –
Immediate, 3 month and 6 month
Based upon data received from the TN Cancer Registry, it was noted that an area in the West had a Melanoma rate 59% above the expected value.
This information was shared with the regional coalition which decided this was an area they wanted to focus on.
They requested assistance with program development.
East Region had an established skin cancer and melanoma committee which was reporting successful interventions with their programs.
These two regions were connected to share concerns and possible interventions to reduce the percentage of Melanoma in the West region.
At the present time they have collaborated on two specific programs and target groups
