Basic Syntax: Tags Important Tags
Paragraph <p></p>
Allows text to be writing n a paragraph and applies default formatting
Div <div></div>
Allows paragraphs but with no default formatting
Link <a src=“http://mwj.libguides.com”>MWJ</a>
Line Break <br/>
Span <span style=“”></span>
Allows formatting to applied with inline CSS to an area of text

Hex Codes
Are 6 digit codes that control color in HTML
Can be applied to borders, backgrounds, text and
several other areas
Used in many different areas of LibGuides
Also useful in tools like Adobe Kuler
Hex codes are easy to work with
