Do you have any ideas for improvement?• GPS• live positioning• Don‘t use English terms
(help page, explanations).• It should be easier to place points.• The buttons should be more remarkable.• Show the help as an introduction.

Participatory App 23
Usability Test: ObservationsDifficulties:• The button „Find me“ wasn‘t found intuitively.• The functionality „Change position“ wasn‘t intuitive.• Some users wanted to use „Drag & Drop“ to change the
position of the marker.• Difficulties to distinguish between the current position
(marker) and the mapped points (server).• The buttons weren‘t remarkable enough.• It isn‘t intuitive to click on the marker to map a point.• They had difficulties to read the old version of the help
page (confusing, sometimes English terms, bad phrasing).

Participatory App 24
Ideas for improvements• Introduction help (e.g. video)• The buttons should be more visible.• The popup window should automatically open after
finding or changing the position.• Add a button „Map point“.• Center the new placed point.• Offer more types.• Use the GPS signal to get a more precise position.• Update the GPS position automatically.• Use only one language in the help.• Use „Drag & Drop“ to change the position.31.01.2011

Latest Improvements
31.01.2011
Intro Video
• Test program at school wasn‘t the finished version.
• Because of this there is still some work to do beside fixing the problems which where found in the test.
• Differentiation between obligatory and optional work
Problems / Future Work
• Upload data to the server• Download data from the server and visualize
them with the right attributes and symbols• Move and delete points• Help review• Finding intuitive icons to replace the buttons• Some design stuff
Obligatory Work
• Possibility for administrator to develop or change categories
• Provide an option to switch between German and English
• Optimization of the page size depending on the screen size
• Counter for more than one time created points
Optional Work
