INSTALLED BY LANDLORDS ROOFING CONTRACTOR.
GRAVITY VENT TO BE INSTALLED BY MECHANICAL

2. 8"Ø EXHAUST UP FROM RESTROOMS. RESTROOM
EXHAUST DUCT SHALL BE MINIMUM 26 GA. GALVANIZED
STEEL. PROVIDE RAIN CAP WITH INTEGRAL BIRD SCREEN,
BACKDRAFT DAMPER, AND ACCESSORIES AS REQUIRED.
EXHAUST FAN SHALL MAINTAIN 10' CLEARANCE FOR ANY
OUTSIDE AIR INTAKE. ALL ROOF WORK SHALL BE DONE
BY LANDLORD'S ROOFING CONTRACTOR AT TENANT'S
EXPENSE UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE.
3. PROVIDE EXHAUST FAN FOR DISH WASH WITH CURB
FROM CAPTIVEAIRE. VERIFY EXACT LOCATION PRIOR TO
CUTTING HOLE IN ROOF. CURB TO BE INSTALLED BY
LANDLORDS ROOFING CONTRACTOR. EXHAUST DUCT TO
BE INSTALLED BY MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR.
COORDINATE THE EXACT OPENING IN THE ROOF WITH
THE STRUCTURAL MEMBERS PRIOR TO CUTTING DECK.
4. PROVIDE NEW GREASE EXHAUST FAN WITH
PRE-FABRICATED ROOF CURB PROVIDED BY
CAPTIVEAIRE INSTALLED BY GC. SECURE FAN TO CURB
WITH SCREWS PER LOCAL CODE REQUIREMENTS. HOOD
EXHAUST FAN SHALL BE MINIMUM 40" FROM ROOF
SURFACE AND 10'-0" MINIMUM FROM AND FRESH AIR
INTAKE. FIELD VERIFY EXACT CONDITIONS.
NOTE:
TENANT'S CONTRACTOR SHALL USE LANDLORD'S ROOFING
CONTRACTOR FOR ALL RE-ROOFING, FLASHING, WEATHER
PROOFING AND PATCHING PROCEDURES. LOCATION OF
ROOF PENETRATIONS SHALL BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED
BY LANDLORD IN WRITING.
NOTE TO TENANT:
HOOD EXHAUST FANS AND RESTROOMS EXHAUST FANS
SHOULD NOT BE ENGAGED AFTER RESTAURANT OPERATION
HOURS, TO AVOID HIGH HUMIDITY PROBLEMS. IF FAN IS
ENGAGED WITHOUT PROPER MAKEUP AIR HUMIDITY WILL BE
DRAWN IN TO THE BUILDING.
NOTE:
UPON ACTIVATION OF ANY FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM FOR
A COOKING OPERATION, ALL SOURCES OF FUEL AND
ELECTRIC POWER THAT PRODUCE HEAT TO ALL EQUIPMENT
REQUIRING PROTECTION BY THAT SYSTEM SHALL
AUTOMATICALLY SHUT OFF. ACTIVATION OF THE AUTOMATIC
FIRE EXTINGUISHING SYSTEM MUST IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF
GAS AND ELECTRIC SUPPLY TO ALL APPLIANCES UNDER THE
PROTECTED HOOD. THE PLUMBING CONTRACTOR SHALL
PROVIDE A MASTER SOLENOID VALVE IN GAS LINE TO
DISCONNECT ALL GAS APPLIANCES. MANUAL GAS AND
ELECTRIC RESETS ARE REQUIRED. ALL MAKEUP AIR FANS
AND KITCHEN ROOFTOP UNITS SHALL DE-ENERGIZE UPON
ACTIVATION OF FIRE/ANSUL HOOD SYSTEM.
