7. TOUCH-UP REMAINING STRUCTURES TO MATCH EXISTING CONDITIONS.
1. THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL INCLUDE THE FURNISHING OF ALL MATERIALS, EXTENSIONS, CONNECTIONS, CUTTING,PATCHING, PAINTING, REPAIRING, ADAPTING AND OTHER WORK, INCIDENTAL TO, AND TOGETHER WITH SUCHTEMPORARY CONNECTIONS AS MAY BE REQUIRED. THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL ALSO INCLUDE THE REMOVAL OFMATERIALS AS DIRECTED.
2. ANY WORK NOT SHOWN ON THE DRAWING OR SPECIFICALLY MENTIONED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS, BUTCONSIDERED NECESSARY FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE WORK IN PROPER MANNER SHALL BE PROVIDED BY THISCONTRACTOR WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
3. WHERE PRESENT WORK IS DAMAGED IN THE EXECUTION OF THIS CONTRACT, OR WHERE OPENINGS ARE LEFTDUE TO THE REMOVAL OF PIPES, EQUIPMENT OR APPARATUS, THE SAME SHALL BE REPAIRED OR CLOSED UP TOCORRESPOND IN MATERIAL, QUALITY, SHAPE, AND FINISH WITH THAT OF SIMILAR AND ADJOINING WORK,UNLESS OTHERWISE CALLED FOR. WHERE DAMAGE IS NOT REPAIRABLE, NEW ITEMS OR EQUIPMENT SHALL BEPROVIDED.
4. INTERRUPTION OF EXISTING FACILITIES OR SERVICES SHALL BE KEPT TO A MINIMUM AND THE CONTRACTORSHALL FURNISH ALL MATERIALS REQUIRED WHENEVER TEMPORARY CONNECTIONS ARE NECESSARY TO MAINTAINCONTINUITY OF SERVICE. INTERRUPTION OF EXISTING SERVICES, THE INSTALLATION OF TEMPORARY FACILITIES,AND THE WORK OF MAKING FINAL CONNECTIONS TO THE NETWORK SHALL BE DONE ONLY AT SUCH TIMES ASPERMITTED AND SCHEDULED BY THE OWNER WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COST. REMOVAL OF ABANDONED ITEMS AND ITEMS SERVING NO USEFUL PURPOSE, SUCH AS ABANDONEDPIPING, CONDUIT AND WIRING.
REMOVAL OF UNSUITABLE OR EXTRANEOUS MATERIALS NOT MARKED FOR SALVAGE, SUCH ASABANDONED FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT, AND DEBRIS SUCH AS ROTTED WOOD, RUSTED METAL ANDDETERIORATED CONCRETE.
CLEANING OF SURFACES, AND REMOVAL OF SURFACE FINISHES AS NEEDED TO INSTALL NEW WORKAND FINISHES.
WHEN ALTERATIONS AND CONNECTIONS OF NEW CONSTRUCTION TO EXISTING CONSTRUCTION OCCUR AT DUSTSENSITIVE AREAS, EXECUTE ALL MEASURES TO COMPLETELY CONTROL AND SEPERATE DUST FROM EXISTINGAREAS, EQUIPMENT AND FURNISHINGS.
ASSIGN THE WORK OF MOVING, REMOVAL, CUTTING AND PATCHING, TO TRADES QUALIFIED TO PERFORM THEWORK IN A MANNER TO CAUSE LEAST DAMAGE TO EACH TYPE OF WORK, AND PROVIDE MEANS OF RETURNINGTO APPEARANCE OF NEW WORK.
PERFORM CUTTING AND REMOVAL WORK TO REMOVE MINIMUM NECESSARY AND IN A MANNER TO AVOIDDAMAGE TO ADJACENT WORK.
CUT FINISH SURFACES SUCH AS MASONRY, GYPSUM WALLBOARD, STUCCO, WALL COVERING, TILE, PLASTER ORMETALS, BY METHODS TO TEMINATE SURFACES ON A STRAIGHT LINE AT A NATURAL POINT OF DIVISION.
PROTECT FROM DAMAGE EXISTING FINISHES, EQUIPMENT, AND ADJACENT WORK WHICH IS SCHEDULED TOREMAIN.
REROUTE OR EXTEND EXISTING ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING OR AIR CONDITIONING LINES IN AREAS WHEREDEMOLITION IS TO OCCUR. (REFER TO ELECTRICAL, PLUMBING AND MECHANICAL DRAWINGS).
PROVIDE SAME PRODUCTS OR TYPES OF CONSTRUCTION AS THAT IN EXISTING STRUCTURE, AS NEEDED TOPATCH, EXTEND OR TO MATCH EXISTING WORK.
