WHO is important to topic?: Social anthropologists interested in imagination (and
perhaps those who have used it without comment);
WHAT is at stake? : methods used in both A and A ethnography, psychogeography,fieldwork etc. AND crossovers around concept of imagination e.g. artists who

Needs to make argument to back up working thesis
A and A have been linked since C20th surrealism; recentrekindling of that relationship has focused onappropriation of method; danger is that artisticauthority eroded, as is anthropological content. *+This research proposes shift to imagination as sharedconcept understood differently by each field. Researchwill test whether this can move A and A from
multidisciplinary to interdisciplinary exchange i.e.where both fields are de-familiarised by the process.
