TIP #7: DON’T JUST USE

THE STANDARD

INSTRUCTIONS

If you only rely on SAP’s guidelines, you’ll get an output of your current

licenses. First gather the actual data, then combine and classify

usernames. Now, you’re ready to send the audit report.

TIP #8: IGNORE

CERTAIN USERS

Users and activities, like SAP*, DDIC and EARLYWATCH, are preconfigured

and should be ignored. Often, twenty users or more from this type are created. Pay attention or you’ll

include twenty avoidable users! SAP® is a registered trademark of SAP AG in Germany and in several other countries

TIP #9: GATHER ALL

THE DATA

Various user types, like “Communication” and “System,” and users with empty license types in their records often

become forgotten. Follow this rule: if a user is registered in

SAP, consider it valid unless you have good reason not to.

TIP #10: ELIMINATE

DUPLICATE USERNAMES

IN THE SAME SYSTEMS

Duplicate usernames tend to turn into a

complicated issue in large enterprises.

Duplicate usernames should be closed and their licenses freed.
