Prerequisites While there are no specific prerequisites for the DCEETM course, partici-pants whom have at least some working experience in installing equipment in a data center or facilities environment are best suited.

Course Description:Installing equipment in a data center entails much more than what most engineers might think. The traditional way of finding the first available rack with space and then “plugging” in the equipment and turning it on could lead to risky scenarios and even costly down time. Especially in today’s environment, special care needs to be given to feed and phase balancing of the electrical system, cooling and airflow, floor loading capabilities, EMF, rack location and equipment location within the rack and many more factors.

This course will provide anybody involved with installing ICT (Information and Communication Technology) equipment in the data center valuable lessons on how to effectively install equipment without causing potential short term and long term negative effect which might impact equipment reliability and ultimately business downtime.

Data Center Equipment Engineer DCEETM is a one (1) day course which will be closed with a class room based Q & A to test the attendees’ knowledge. No certification exam is applicable for this course. ICOR provides a wide range of data center courses which do carry a world-wide accredited exam.
