Proposal for City Bus
Zamboanga City, Philippines
OUR AIMWe have seen the dismaying condition of our
nation; we are now facing political and economic crises.
However, instead of deafening rhetoric, we want to share our simple idea of how we can help each other uplift the lives of thousands of fellow residents in our city; and to lead by example to the rest of our country.
We request the endorsement of the City Council to allow our City Bus to operate in Zamboanga City.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
Singapore’s hop-on, hop-off bus.The common means of commuting and sight-seeing through the Lion city. It is cheap and convenient.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
Japan has one of the most thorough rail networks in the world, and that network is constantly expanding. It is highly automated, drivers are punctual to the second, and train lines reach to all corners of the country. Furthermore, there are various types of train travel to choose from, including high speed Shinkansen (bullet trains) that reach speeds of 330 km/hour, special limited expresses, regular expresses, overnight trains, local trains, subways, sightseeing and historical trains, and even
streetcars.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
In Tokyo, Osaka and some other large cities, buses serve as secondary means of public transportation, complementing the train and subway networks. In cities with less dense train networks like Kyoto, buses are the main means of public transportation. Buses also serve smaller towns, the countryside and national parks. Major cities are, furthermore, linked by highway and long distance buses.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM
The most famous double-decker bus in the world, the red London double-decker busses were created as a means of carrying large numbers of passengers without exceeding legal limits on vehicle length.

Electric Jeepney of Makati
Yellow Jeepney of Olongapo
Tricycle Reduction in Puerto Princesa
Training conducted by Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) on regular tricycle clean-up (a total of 195 tricycle drivers were trained)

CONRIBUTIONS :
1. It will enable Tourists and local residents to experience first class public transportation in our city.
2. It will give our students and the average Zamboangueño a cheaper means of commuting.
3. It will raise additional taxes for the city and national government due to the operation of a new business.
4. It will attract investors and is conducive for other businesses.
5. It will de-congest traffic inside the city perimeter.
6. it will lessen the pollutions of our city.
7. And it will encourage people to move around our city.
The Arguments of LTFRB
The roads are too small
>unfounded and uneducated guess
>LTFRB did not even conduct a study(they don’t even have a map of the proposed route)
There is opposition from PUJ drivers
>there will always be opposition to new ideasThe question is: “does this opposition have justifiable basis?”
“Kawawa ang nakararaming drivers”> Eh paano na ang mga pasahero?
The project will not prosper.
>It is a risk that the company is willing to take
THAT IS WHY WE NEED YOU, our leaders, to stand behind us on this one.
WE need to let LTFRB know that we want this for our city..
that we will not deprive our people of this…
that we want to move forward.
LET’S CHANGE THE FUTURE OF ZAMBOANGA NOW!
