President’s Message 2016 was a busy year at the Lehigh Resort Club. The new unit flooring, sleeper sofas, and chairs have all been installed. The Grist building has a new look as well, with new
flooring and interior paint. The grounds and golf course have never looked better. Our staff has been working hard on our updates and are anxious to show it off to each
of you, your family, and friends. So plan your next stay here today! This spring we will be undertaking our pool rebuilding project. This will bring our pool
up to the latest codes and help extend our pool’s life for another twenty-five years. People ask us, “What is new at Lehigh?” MVP, our new sales team, came to the resort
mid-November and is hard at work both on site and at off site sales locations handling our sales opportunities. Check out our new look on the website and our Facebook page for fun photo updates.
See you at the resort!

General Manager’s Corner
I cannot begin to thank each and every one of
you for the encouragement you provided
during the recent renovations involving new
flooring and furniture. The positive feedback
you provided is what makes my job enjoyable.
Another renovation that will be taking place
starting April 19 and lasting 12 to 16 weeks is the pool project.
Though localized at the pool deck, the impact this project has on our
guests is by far the biggest hurdle our resort will ever face. Just
knowing the social impact the pool area has on our guests, makes it
especially hard to go into this. There are still many unknowns we will
encounter, but I am hoping we will be able to get past each one.
Setting the date took a great amount of planning and consideration.
We had to allow enough time to complete the project before the rainy
season begins. The estimated time brings us to mid July barring any
unforeseen roadblocks along the way. An Engineer was hired to ensure
all aspects of this project will be planned and completed by
professionals. When the project is complete, it will add 30 years to the
life of the pool. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate all of you for
your understanding.
Winding down 2016 brought the resignation of our President, Janet
Atwater. We appreciate the many years of dedicated service to our
Board of Directors. Jan has worked tirelessly, striving for fairness for
our owners and the resort. Her wisdom has been invaluable to all of
us. Thank you Janet. You will be missed.
2017 has brought another challenge regarding the dates of your
vacation week. Your week is one week later on the calendar this year.
Confirmations were sent out notifying you of this and will continue as
the year goes on. Yes, we have had owners show up a week early for
use of their week. We are trying to prevent this from happening by
having you confirm your stay.
In recent weeks, the realization that our Internet is not able to keep
up with the latest technology demands has led us to begin the process
of updating our system. Though we are in the beginning stages, we
have taken seriously your needs in order to make your home away
from home more enjoyable.
Last but not least, we will be working on our next project, the painting
of the buildings, which is well overdue.
Reminders to our Owners:
Please inform the front desk “in writing” if you have a change of
address, phone, or e-mail. This is important because of billing and
updates.
Your vacation week is a week later this year.
Please consider filling out and submitting an online rental
agreement if you do not intend to use your week.
Be sure to fill out your comment card so we can keep on top of
changes that need to be made.
Thank you once again for helping us through many difficult situations
in 2016, and as always, if you have any operational questions or
concerns, please stop by my office.

GOLF ANYONE?
Our “winter” weather has proven to be much
kinder to us this year and has provided some amazing golf opportunities for our winter visitors. All of the hard work during the
summer and fall of 2016 by our maintenance teams has provided a much improved golf
experience.
We would like to recognize one of our Winter Seasonal Members, Salim Wahab, who aced a hole-in-one on #2 on February 8, 2017.
Congratulations Salim!
Don’t forget that we have rental clubs available for your convenience. We also have a new supply of our Lehigh Resort Club golf shirts in a
variety of colors, hats, golf gloves, tees and golf
balls.
Please make sure you reserve your tee times in advance so we can accommodate your busy
vacation schedules.
You may call the Pro Shop at 239-368-1981 or
go online to http://golf.lehighresortrentals.com
to book a time.
Thank you for golfing with us! Be sure to stop by the Pro Shop and see our Pro, Jim Schaefer
and our friendly staff.

If you utilize our monthly ACH draft program to pay your maintenance fees,
and you need to change your bank account information, please send a copy
of a voided check by email ([email protected]) or fax
(843-449-9469 Attn: Kimberly) and we will update your information for you.
Please send us this information at least 10 days before your draft date to make sure the change is made in the system
and is processed in time before the next draft is withdrawn.
Pay your maintenance fee on your terms!
With monthly draft payments you can have your maintenance fee automatically withdrawn from your bank account in 12 monthly payments instead of making one large annual payment. Sign up today to begin paying on your terms. Please visit www.defenderresorts.com and click on your resort. You will find the form and instructions in the Owner section. If you are already signed up for the automatic draft program, you DO NOT have to complete another form. You are enrolled in the program until you notify us in writing that you wish to cancel.
As a reminder
Please inform the Front Desk staff if you have any changes to your address, phone number, or email.
This may seem time consuming at check in, but it is the most important step.
Not changing your address can cause many owners to be charged late fees and interest due to not
receiving a bill, and you miss out on receiving newsletters and other important information. You may
provide your updated information via the website at: [email protected]
May we have your
email address?
Please provide your email
address to the front desk staff.
Get information quicker and
help save on the expense of printing, processing
and postage.
Calendar Info
The late start date for the 1st week in 2017 will affect all
other weeks in the calendar year.
Your confirmation will also provide you with the correct
