◦ Quick response code (QR code) has been widely used as product identification but has been extended as product descriptor
◦ This study extends the literature to employ QR code as an interactive ecommerce application.
Background
QR Code for E-Commerce ON THE GO SHOP mobile application creates a new way of e-commerce by using QR Code. • transform traditional
advertisement (eg flyers, brochures) into interactive mode.
• helps consumer to purchase their desired item easier and faster.
• cost-effective for enterprise to market their product/services
QR code is used to replace the details of the product printed on flyers/brochures. The code contains URL link to the product/service and ordering page.
Methods

• ON THE GO SHOP application has received encouraging feedback from users
• cost effective for sellers due to the cheap medium of providing consumers with product information
• consumers can easily and directly purchase any of the advertised product or services from the seller.
