Deogum 80 is a composition of fatty acid derivates and fatty alcohols combined with lubricants. It acts as a multipurpose processing addi-tive which can be used in a broad range of elastomers. In peroxide cross-linked EPDM-compounds, lower mould fouling and improved release effects are observed.
Deogum 194/294 are elastomer-compatible organosilicone processing additives. Due to their high temperature stability, both grades are par-ticularly suitable for the use in special elastomers. They improve the de-moulding properties without the typical silicone side effects, which can be seen with conventional silicone products. Deogum 194 is preferably used in special elastomers, e.g. ACM, ECO, also suitable for standard elastomers. Deogum 294 is recommended for the use in FPM or in HNBR.
Deogum 384 is designed for special elastomers like AEM and ACM (diamine cured) and provides excellent anti-sticking properties in inter-nal mixers and on an open mill.
Deogum 379 is a special, external lubricant for all common elastomer types. At high dosages, a dry lubricating film forms on the surface, lower-ing the friction coefficient and therefore enabling its use as a mounting aid for construction parts.
Deogum 400 is a highly efficient processing additive for bisphenol- and peroxide-crosslinkable fluoroelastomers (FPM). The flow properties as well as the demoulding behavior of the compound will be improved. Deogum 400 is free of polysiloxanes.

Deotack P is a highly viscous polyether plasticizer mainly for the use in polar elastomers, e.g. in NBR and CR.
Deotack 70 DL is a 70% dry liquid of Deotack P on a silica carrier. Due to its form as a dust-free powder, Deotack 70 DL is easier to dose and can be comfortably used without preheating.
Deotack P and Deotack 70 DL show positive effects on the tackifying properties of compounds with low tack. They are also especially suited for oil resistant products, as these resins are hardly extractable from vulcanizates by aliphatic hydrocarbons and mineral oils and therefore provide improved swelling properties.
Deotack LRE is a liquid rosin ester with a low acid number. It is based on a natural tree resin and listed in FDA § 175.105.
Deotack LRE 70 DL is an easily manageable dry liquid of the viscous ester. Both products provide a good green tack without negative influ-ences on the vulcanisation behaviour.
Deotack RS is an alkyl phenolic resin, commonly used in compounds requiring an excellent green tack. The addition of Deotack RS provides an outstanding, constant green tack over several days.

Deovulc OTOS-80 is a preparation of the sulphenamide accelerator OTOS (N-oxydiethylenethiocarbamyl-N’-oxydiethylenesulphenamide) and is supplied as soft granules. Deovulc OTOS-80 enables the dust- and spot-free incorporation of this accelerator. Deovulc OTOS-80 improves the reversion stability as well as the mechanical and dyna-mical properties of compounds. It has proven to be very effective for antivibration applications (lower compression set, fatigue resistance and oxidative stability).
Deovulc M (DTDM – dithio dimorpholine) is a sulphur donor which splits off sulphur during vulcanization. Therefore steep vulcanization curves can be obtained. Monosulphidic bridges are formed resulting in a good heat-resist ance and low compression set of the vulcanizates. Deovulc M can be used in all standard polymers as a replacement for sulphur in heat-resistant compounds. In conventional systems, 1.0 to 1.5 phr sulphur can be replaced by 0.6 to 1.0 phr Deovulc M. In many cases ratios of 1:1 Deovulc M / sulphenamide or 1:1.5 Deovulc M / MBTS have proven to be most effective. In SEV systems equal amounts of sulphur can be replaced by Deovulc M. In EV systems double amounts of Deovulc M are recommended.
Deovulc TP 4-75 / TP 4-75 V are zinc dialkyl dithiophosphates absorbed on a silica carrier. They are typically employed as primary accelerators for nitrosamine-free EPDM and diene rubbers. Due to a high solubility and light colour, both are particularly suitable for light compounds and also allow for high dosages without staining or blooming.
Deovulc DPG (diphenyl guanidine) is a widely used accelerator with good dispersion characteristics. Deovulc DPG can be used as a strong secondary accelerator, preferably in combination with thiazoles or sulphenamides. As a secondary accelerator, Deovulc DPG clearly increases cure rate and state of cure. Particularly for compounds containing precipitated silica, Deovulc DPG acts as an activator, achieving good mechanical properties.
Deovulc HDC-70 is an aminic curing agent for AEM, ACM and HT-ACM polymers. The soft and non-dusting granules are protected against moisture and easy to weigh, dose and disperse.

Deosulf sulphur preparations are dust-free and enable a uniform dispersion. No agglomerations occur, local overcure is avoided and consequently vulcanizates with excellent ageing properties are obtained.
Deosulf L 95 contains ≤ 1.0 % of organic dispersant. This sulphur preparation can be readily incorporated and uniformly dispersed. No
local overcure appears and consequently vulcanizates with excellent ageing properties are obtained.
Deosulf U 60 enables the perfect incorporation of insoluble sulphur into rubber. The safety against scorch is improved and the danger of sulphur bloom in the uncured compound is reduced.
Deovulc ZO is zinc-2-ethylhexanoate and acts as an activator for the vulcanization of natural rubber. The high solubility of Deovulc ZO often provides a higher cross-linking density, which leads to an improved compression set and dynamic properties. Partial replacement of stearic acid by Deovulc ZO is possible, e.g. to avoid blooming.
Deovulc ZO DL is a 67 % dry liquid of Deovulc ZO on a silica carrier.
Deovulc OH is a very fine calcium hydroxide, which acts as an acid scavenger and cross-linking activator in fluoroelastomer-based com-pounds.
Deomag 70 is a blend of low and medium active magnesium oxide and is used as a vulcanization activator, stabilizer and acid acceptor. Deomag 70 is dispersed in wetting agents for easy processing.
Deovulc CTP-PVI (N-[cyclohexylthio]phthalimide) is used as a retarder in diene rubber and EPDM. Generally, the most efficient use of
Deovulc CTP-PVI can be achieved in combination with sulphenamide accelerators.

8. Activators for Fillers (Silanes)
Deolink TESPT-100 (Bis[triethoxysilylpropyl]tetrasulphide) is the most commonly used silane in the rubber industry for various applications and sulphur vulcanization processes. The degree of silanisation depends on the process temperature. For the use of Deolink TESPT-100, a mixing / dumping temperature of 130 – 150 ºC is recommended.
Deolink MX-100 (Organoalkoxysilane) is also a bifunctional sulphur silane suitable for all elastomers which can be sulphur cross-linked. Deolink MX-100 is suited for a broader temperature range. At low dumping temperatures, Deolink MX-100 is often more efficient than the conventional TESPT. Deolink MX-100 contains a hindered mercapto group and can be used as an alternative for conventional mercapto silanes. The protective group is removed during processing, releasing a mercapto silane. By the use of Deolink MX-100, the process-ing is improved to a higher scorch safety and the typical mercaptane odour is avoided. Deolink MX-100 is substantially less scorchy than conventional mercapto or sulphur silanes. As a consequence of this positive property, higher injection volumes and improved scorch safety can be achieved.
Deolink Vinyl-100 (Tris[2-methoxyethoxy]vinylsilane) and Deolink Vinyl TE-100 (Triethoxyvinylsilane) are used to improve the physical properties of peroxide cured compounds and to estab-
lish a chemical link between rubber and light active filler. By the use of Deolink Vinyl-100 and Deolink Vinyl TE-100, the wet electrical properties can be optimized, which is of relevance for the cable indus-try. Deolink Vinyl TE-100, as opposed to Deolink Vinyl-100, does not develop toxic methoxyethanol during processing.
Deolink Amino TE-100 (3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane) is a very reactive type of silane and can be used in sulphur-free crosslinking systems. Aminosilanes are used in acrylate compounds with active light fillers and improve the compression set and physical properties. Further areas of application for Deolink Amino TE-100 are flame retardant compounds for the cable industry based on EVA and ATH.
Deolink Methacryl TM-100 (Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane) can be used for sulphur and sulphur-free vulcanization systems. Deolink Methacryl TM-100 improves processing of the rubber com-pound as well as mechanical properties of the vulcanizates.

Silanes enable the chemical coupling of an inorganic filler with the elastomer. Without the use of silanes, only fairly weak physical bonds can be formed, e.g. Van-der-Waals-forces, adhesion or absorption. Light fillers commonly used for silanisation include silica, clay, quartz, ATH and – to a lower extent – also talc, mica and inorganic oxides such as TiO2. In addition to the standard sulphur and vinyl silanes, DOG also offers a range of silane specialities for various applications. The following silanes are available in liquid form:

Deolink TESPT (Bis[triethoxysilylpropyl]tetrasulphide) is used to improve the physical properties of sulphur cured compounds and to establish the chemical link between rubber and silica or other active white fillers. Mecha nical properties, e.g. modulus, compression set, tensile strength and abrasion resistance can be significantly improved by the usage of Deolink TESPT.
Deolink MX is a 50 % preparation of an organoalkoxysilane on a polymer carrier system. The bifunctional sulphur silane is compatible with all elastomers suitable for sulphur vulcanization. Deolink MX can be used over a broad temperature range and is – at low dump-ing temperatures – often more active than conventional TESPT. Deolink MX contains a hindered mercapto group and can be used as an alternative to conventional mercapto silanes. The protective group is removed during processing, releasing the mercapto silane. By the use of Deolink MX, the processing is improved to a higher scorch safety and the typical mercaptane odour is avoided. The improved processing leads to higher injection volumes and a better process safety.
Deolink Vinyl (Tris[2-methoxyethoxy]vinylsilane) and Deolink VO (polysiloxane) are silane preparations developed for peroxide cross-linked compounds and contain 50 % of the active substance. The chemical bond between filler and elastomer leads to an improvement
of physical properties, e.g. compression set. By the use of vinyl silanes, the wet electrical properties are improved, which is of importance for the cable industry.
Deolink VO is a 50 % preparation of an oligomeric vinyl silane on a polymer carrier system. The reinforcing effect of Deolink VO leads to a higher tensile strength and modulus as well as a lower compression set. In contrast to Deolink Vinyl, Deolink VO does not release any toxic methoxyethanol.
Deolink Amino TE 45 DL is a 45 % preparation of 3-aminopropyltrieth-oxysilane on a mineral filler. Deolink Amino TE 45 DL is an organofunc-tional coupling agent that provides a chemical link between organic polymer and inorganic substrates or fillers. Deolink Amino TE 45 DL is compatible with various polymers and the powder form enables easy incorporation.
The carrier system of Deolink silane preparations is specifically developed for each silane grade, either polymer /wax systems or polymer systems are used. The comfortable handling of Deolink silane preparations enables the use in open mill mixing as well as in continuous mixing processes. The polymer carrier system protects the silane from ambient moisture. The carrier systems are inert and do not show any agglomerates.
