RADWIN’s Advanced Antenna Steering Mechanism
RADWIN JET automatically steers the antenna in the best direction and thus, the link achieves best performance The Advanced Antenna Steering mechanism allows interference avoidance. This mechanism has significant impact on the efficient use of the spectrum, the optimization of service quality, higher capacity and improved robustness.
18
RADWIN’s Beamforming Antenna Spec
The beamforming antenna transmits in two modes:
» With narrow beam-width over a sector of 90°
» With wide beam-width of 90° (for HSUs acquisition or upon message broadcasting)
Antenna Gain:
» 20dBi @ 5.x GHz
» 17dBi @ 3.x GHz
Antenna beam-width:
» Azimuth: 8° @ 5.x and 15° @ 3.x GHz
» Elevation: 16° @ 5.x GHz and 30° @ 3.x GHz
Tx Power (across all modulations):
» 25dBm @ 5.x GHz
» 23dBm @ 3.x GHz
Beamforming resolution <1°
19
Greater Capacity Vs. Range
Higher antenna gain
High Tx Power for all modulations – 25dbm @5.x

Smart Bandwidth Management (DBA) • The bandwidth allocation of sector capacity to the HSU radios
employs dynamic TDMA technology (DBA) otherwise referred to as Smart BW Management.
• The TDMA time slot assignment is dynamic assuring services are not only achieved but also increased to a peak level when other HSUs are inactive.
• RADWIN’s Smart BW Management (DBA) maintains assured throughput and peak throughput according to a user configurable setting.
• Users can set a specific transmission ratio for the Uplink and Downlink directions, making the sector resources efficiently utilized and distributed amongst the remote HSUs.
31
Asymmetric BW Allocation
Enables 250/750Mbps aggregate throughput per sector
Increases range per given throughput
Full scale Fixed UL/DL ratios:
CBW Ratio
40 & 20 MHz 88.5% / 11.5%
10 MHz 83% / 17%
5 MHz 70% / 30%
Same UL/DL ratio should be configured for all sectors in close proximity
The configured UL/DL is applicable to all HSUs in the sector
Online configuration - No service interruption
