Rapid prototyping machines make it possible to create precise 3D replicas using the data from the 3D laser scanner. This is a quick and e�ective way to check if the scanned data is accurate before making the �nal product with the CNC Machine.

Cornstarch Rapid Prototyper

For this project two di�erent types of rapid prototyping mediums are used - cornstarch and plastic. With the cornstarch medium, we are able to get a very detailed and high resolu-tion model, but with low rigidity. With the plastic medium we are able to get a less detailed model, but it is much stronger.
