+Reflections = memories, events, thinking, making meaning from the past Events
Times when you remember GOOD learning
A breakthrough…
a time when you changed through learning
Or FAILURE to learn
Or CONSTANT FAILURE to learn
Analysis – deconstructing and reconstructing so that you can see its parts, how it works, what it is made of, why it works that way.

+Finding a context / memory
A geography Project is a moment of discovery…?
Or a moment of something being born…?

+Character: What are some attributes you have developed over time?
Choose ONE that resonates with a memory
Choose TWO that show different parts of your character

+How do these things relate?
Memory – this is the core example that SHOWS your attribute.
Learning – look at your example – what does it say about you (check the handout for ways to explain this)
Character – Check that your memory, learning behaviour both SHOW the attribute you are discussing
CORE IDEA – this is the RESULT of deep thinking about the connections between these

+Identity Changes of the Writer RETELLING the event/action represents the ACTING SELF
I felt terrible! Why did it happen?
Recalling thoughts and feelings around the event/action shows a
PARTICPANT OBSERVER
“At the time I felt terrible and had so many questions. Now, I have
terrible answers to these questions – wealth and power are unfeeling,
distance between those who harm and the harmed creates inhumane
irresponsibility. Yet, this was the first step towards taking a stand on
Social Justice events, to not sit on the sideline about the values that
impassion me.
