Structural framework validation

1- Once the seismic interpretation is completed, you must to convert the profiles in depth2- Before to start the balance and restoration , the vertical scale must be the same in the horizontal scale3- The best way to validate the structural framework (seismic interpretation or geological profiles), is using back- stripping and forward modeling4- By mean of the back-stripping and forward modeling you can check that the structural profiles are balanced and can be restored5- however we can find several solutions for the same seismic data or the same surface geological data6- There are several methodologies or software to make restorations: Lithotec, Geosec2D, 2Dmove, manual way and othersStructural framework validation

Back-stripping in one structural profile

Forward modeling in the same structural profileThe most important results1- If the final step of forward modeling is almost the same that the first step from back- stripping, then model validated 2- You can determine the age of the structural traps, example: Normal faults from Jurassic and Compressional from Eoc.3- Recognition of the tectonic sequences and stretching percentage 4- Every step from tectonic evolution are one of the main input for the petroleum system analysisPetroleum System Analysis

Some input parameters for the geo-chemical simulation and well calibration Types of MigrationPetroleum System Analysis
