• Need to know your audience* use terms they will know
• Don’t use relative terms* large, small
• Use absolute terms* 10-15 cm long

• Look at what you have and notice differences* write down 3-5 features that vary
• Group similar things together• Think of ways to split object into two groups
(groups do not need to be of equal size)• Split remaining objects into two groups again• Start key with a diagrammatic flow chart
