Think about the title sequence
and what is happening.
Title sequence
Monday
Create a brief timeline of events to explain what is happening in the title
sequence. Use conjunctions (because, so, but, when, after) and time adverbials
(first, next, after that, soon …) in your descriptions.
Create a storyboard for the title sequence, writing a sentence for each section.
Monday afternoon –Night Camping scene
Carry on with learning the techniques of watercolour painting.
Look particularly how to mix colours and create thin lines
Have a go at following the tutorial to complete a night camping scene

• Now it is your challenge, use what you have learnt and create your own tropical scene linked to our film. You may need to change your colour palette and think about the shapes of the rainforest canopy.

or story? Begin with some interesting
nouns!
• Create expanded noun phrases to describe the clip, adding adjectives.
• Using your storyboard from yesterday and the expanded noun phrases can you create a piece of writing that uses paragraphs with added detail and description. Try to start a new paragraph whenever you move the time forward.

• What do you like about the clip? Or dislike?
• Do they agree with Toki’s decision near the end?
• How would they describe the tribe’s ritual?
• The title is called ‘ride of passage’ this is a play on words with ‘rite of passage’
• Using the 5W’s (who, where, when what, why) have a go at summarizing the story.

Method
1. Make the dough, combining the flour, baking powder in a bowl.
2. Make a well in the middle and pour in the yogurt.
3. Put the base in the oven and bake for 3-4 minutes
4. Turn the bases over and top with sauce, cheese and any other
toppings.
5. Cook for a further 5 minutes
