and technology is taught to 139 pupils from the grades 10-12 at the age from 15 to 19 .

but they can not boast of abundance of the modern equipment.

participate in EU projects which allow to receive additional financing for improvements in
teaching of these subjects.
4. Thanks to EU funds our school, as well as other schools in Latvia, expects technical re-
equipment. 4 completely equipped classrooms (physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics)
and about 100 new computers with connection to the Internet are to appear here by 2013.
Our aims
Natural sciences, mathematics and computer sciences are priority subjects at Latvian schools. Thanks to funds of EU, schools receive corresponding technical support.
By participating in this project, we hope:
• To study new methods and teaching materials which will help us raise the level of natural
sciences teaching at our school.
• To learn more about Nanotechnologies.
• To receive invaluable experience of teamwork with colleagues from other countries and to
bring the feasible contribution to development of priority subjects teaching at contemporary
level.
• To arouse students interest in learning modern technologies and actual knowledge in different
areas.
