General/passenger informationThe Tokyo prefecture is home to 12.5 million people; more than 35 million people live in the Tokyo metropolitan area. Despite cramped conditions, Tokyo is filled with culture and entertainment. Man-made modern sites are never far from natural wonders. Come visit such sites as the Imperial Palace, Tokyo Tower, and Akihabara Electrical Appliance Town. Shop many galleries, or play at Tokyo Disneyland.
For an outstanding side trip, consider visiting Mount Fuji (Fuji-san in Japanese) – a snow-capped, centuries-dormant volcano.
