He explains what we react to as humans that stirs up the feeling of awe. To create awe on the screen, he shows you not what the event actually is like, but what you want it to be like.
The speaker could have been more visibly excited during certain parts of the presentation. Despite his humor, he had a consistent dull tone throughout his talk.
I learned that saying an occasional joke throughout a presentation is a good way to keep people paying attention.
