“What is this? A new teaching with authority. The people were aston-ished at His teaching and all were amazed.” Mark 1:21-282Jesus Christ came into this world with the Final Covenant which is now written on our hearts and written with His blood. This is no longer a matter of rules on stone tab-lets or parchment scrolls but a Living Flesh and Blood Covenant sealed with God Himself. Jesus came to teach us what all this means. We, as a Church, Worship our God in Thanksgiving. Our primary ministry is to pass this on to the next generation in our St. Agnes School. Thus the Church and School exists as a unity to bring Christ into our lives and share that Good News with the World. St. Agnes Parish is a Unity of Both Church and School in Christ!
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK Jan 30 - Feb 5 This week our School Celebrates another year of Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our School is our Church’s Primary Ministry! I would like to express thanks to all that have given
to our St. Agnes School Annual Fund, our yearly fundraiser. Many envelopes have been turned in with very generous donations, thus far. Those donations will assist us in meeting our Annual Fund goals: 1. The purchase of a new junior high Social Studies curriculum; 2. The purchase of new Smartboards for our classrooms; 3. Tuition assistance. We truly couldn’t do it without your support. Thank you and God bless you.

Prayer of Spiritual Communion (for use during online Masses)
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You have already come, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen

Waiting for That Day. In the simple act of bringing the eight-day old Jesus to the temple, Mary and Joseph (now, patron of the whole Church) follow the law. Both Simeon and Anna were long waiting for that day, the day of Christ the Lord coming in person. Simeon says: I can go now; my waiting is done. Anna gives thanks that redemption has come in Jesus. In blessing and lighting candles this day, we announce that God’s light, the Light of Christ, shines on us and in us. How am I seeing God’s salvation at work today?

Thank you for your generous support last week for the Collection for the Church in Latin America. As a parish, we collected $317.00, which will be used to share the faith with our brothers and sisters in Latin America and the Caribbean, so they, in turn, can share the Good News with others. If you missed the collection, it’s not too late to give! Visit www.usccb.org/latin-america and click “How to Give.” Your gift makes a difference.

#StAgnesFaithFormationFORGIVEN
Give the FORGIVEN Series on Formed.org a try. There are 3 main videos and two supplements. You can view them and pray them on your own or join our discussion groups Wednesday night to watch and pray together: 6:30 pm via Zoom - Feb 3 and 10. Go to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/81419261931
WHY ARE WE HERE? WHAT’S LIFE ALL ABOUT?Sometimes we get so caught up in the depth of our faith that we forget what it was like to first wrestle
with the big questions - Who am I? What am I searching for? What’s our shared story? Who is Jesus? Why do we need a Church? Is there a God? We all need to get back to the basics to make sure the foundation is strong. We are excited to introduce The Search, a new seven part series on Formed.org. We will be forming small groups to participate in a parish wide mission.
• Existing parish organizations (pastoral council, bible studies, book club, finance council, social groups, etc) can formgroups with their current participants and meet as they like.
• Other types of cohorts like parents in a particular grade level, neighborhoods, friends groups, all men or all women, teens or young adults. These groups can gather their own participants and meet as they like.
• Don't have one of the above groups? We can create groups for you.
Meeting:• Name a group co-ordinator who can access the videos and we will send this person the discussion guides. The co-
ordinator is simply gathering the group and making sure all have the information they need. No need to be an expert atanything.
• Meet in person at the Parish (with Covid precautions in place). Just schedule a date and time with the Formation Office.
• Or, meet via Zoom - we have access to several rooms. Let the Formation Office know what you need to get the links.
• Or, do a hybrid with some people in person and some on Zoom.
• Or, create a facebook chat/group, google group, or other method to converse virtually after watching the videos on yourown. Like an asynchronous class.
