The 15 International Forum-Contest of students and young researchers "Topical Issues of Rational Use of Natural Resources" under the auspices of UNESCO, dedicated to the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements will take place 13-17 May 2019 at Saint-Petersburg Mining University. Participation in the Forum-Contest is a uni�ue opportunity to make a speech to the audience which represents 20 countries, to meet with the representatives of government institutions and representatives from academia and business, to meet potential partners and share the ideas with junior scientists from other countries. The Forum-Contest programme of work includes:
a plenary session in the format of an open dialogue with participation of Russian and international experts;a prestige lecture by Michael Shvydkoy, the Special Representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation; breakout sessions in 7 advanced directions of mineral raw materials complex development;8 master classes given by researchers and specialists in various �ields of expertise, attendees will be awarded special certi�icates of participation; the case competition; TED-style presentation format: TED�Style sessions (contest of public-speaking skills); a specially organized First International academic session of young scientists “Applied signi�icance of the Periodic Table of Elements” for the 9-10 grade students .
Saint-Petersburg Mining University keeps the tradition of publishing the best articles of the Forum -Contest, reviewed in-house and externally, which will be published in a separate collection of works (CRС Press, publishing company Taylor & Francis Group).The articles included in the collection will be indexed in SCOPUS citation database.

A parallel session. The participants are the 9-10 grade students who excelled in engineering sciences. The programme includes lectures, business games, technical tours, cultural programme.

RegistrationThe registration to the Forum-Contest is only possible online atYou can only participate in the Forum with a presentation based on the short-listed abstract after the pre-selection of applications.There is no organizational fee for the participants.
Publications
In addition, the participants are invited to prepare full text articles of their presentations. The best articles will be published in a separate collection of works by CRC�Press publishing house (Taylor & Francis Group, UK). The Organizing Committee will allocate a grant to the registered participants of the conference who will provide their abstracts in due time. The grant will cover accommodation at the Multifunctional Complex Gornyi during the Forum-Contest and participation in the activities of the programme.Registered participants will be provided with visa support.
