Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel)
“Today we also have to say ‘thou shalt not’ to an economy of exclusion and inequality.
Such an economy kills. How can it be that it is not a news item when an elderly homeless person
dies of exposure, but it is news when the stock market loses two points?”
Faith Formation
Parish Life
The Prime Timers will meet on Tuesday, February 12th at 12 noon in the Parish Center. We will enjoy our famous Pot Luck Luncheon. Each member is asked to bring a casserole to the
luncheon. If you haven’t listed your casserole on the sign-up sheet, please call Barbara at 856-371-5256.
Our program will be Game day. Please bring your favorite game to play at your table with friends. New members are welcome to come and have fun, meet friends and enjoy lunch.
This year, our focus will be to become more environmentally friendly. We aim to eliminate our Styrofoam products, so please remember your coffee/tea cup. You are encouraged to bring a plastic container if you are interested in any leftovers.
There are many new books at the book swap table. You may drop off an unwanted book and swap it for another one or you may just take several books home to read and enjoy.
All Intergenerational Events can be accessed on the parish website churchofstspeterandpaul.org under Faith Formation. Please sign up for these events. Everyone is welcome to participate.

Some of the children of our parish who were confirmed in October
gathered together for a celebration sponsored by the parish. Those who attended enjoyed fun, faith and food.
Would you like to assist at Mass as an adult altar server? Were you a
server in your youth and would like to offer your talents once again?
The role of Altar Server is integral to the normal celebration of the Mass, and it’s a role that adult Catholic men and women are welcome to perform. We have openings for adults to join our Altar Server Ministry specifically for the 4:00 PM Saturday Mass. No experience is needed. Our instruction will include the Mass and its parts, the various objects used in the liturgy (their names and use), and the various functions of the server during the Mass and other liturgical celebrations. Is this a ministry that you would be interested in joining? If so, please contact the Parish office.
ATTENTION WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP RESIDENTS!
Kindergarten Registration has begun.
If you are a parent of a child who will be five years old on or before October 1, 2019 call the Washington Township Registration Office (856-589-6644, x6698) to obtain a registration packet which includes information about our “sneak peek” scheduled for early May. You must be registered to attend.
A packet will be mailed to your home with an appointment time. Please note you will need a copy of your child’s immunization records, his/her birth certificate, and 3 current proofs of residency at the time of your appointment.
Depending on your neighborhood, your child will attend Kindergarten at Grenloch Early Childhood Center, Thomas Jefferson or Whitman School. Call for your packet today!

SOCK AND UNDERWEAR DRIVE - Catholic Charities’ Prison Ministry
Catholic Charities, Diocese of Camden’s Prison Ministry invites all parishioners to participate in an important corporal work of mercy -”clothe the naked”. The Prison Ministry has organized a clothing drive for the incarcerated men and women in the Diocese. Some correctional facilities only supply jumpsuits for inmates to wear, and many men and women have no family, friends, or money to buy any clothing to wear under the jumpsuits. The following items are greatly needed in all sizes (new only): For males: white tee shirts and white boxers For females: white sports bras and white cotton briefs For both males and females: white crew socks There will be a receptacle in the church foyer for your donations until February 4th.
We are in need of volunteers to assist with the Lifetouch photography sessions for the new Parish directory. If you can give an hour or two of your time helping with check-in and photo review, please contact the Parish Office.
