11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019
Formal presentation at 11:30 a.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 14, County Board of Supervisors Chairwoman Dianne Jacob and the County of San Diego Department of Parks and Recreation will open a new Nature Center in Santa Ysabel. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees of this event will enjoy site tours, animal encounters, junior ranger activities, nature crafts, live music and entertainment, light refreshments and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Innovative and energy efficient, the Nature Center will serve customers who reside in the area, and who stop by on their way to and from the communities of Julian and Ramona – even Borrego Springs. With rentable space, restrooms, educational displays, ranger-led workshops and a scenic trail loop, the facility will provide customers with new connections to nature, history and recreation opportunity.
We are currently seeking sponsors and partners! If you are interested in supporting this event, contact: Jessica Geiszler at 858-966-1331 or [email protected].
Directions from San Diego: I-8 East to SR-67 North. SR-67 becomes SR-78 outside Ramona. Turn left at SR-79, Nature Center will be 0.2 miles on the right side.
