Adjustments: What are they?August Last Year Electric Usage: 400,000 kWhAugust This Year Electric Usage: 500,000 kWh

According to this, you used 25% more electricity than last year. Way

to be wasteful.

That’s not fair! We had a 30 day heat wave this year. My big wrench and I think

you should check those numbers again.

Page 43: Saving Energy with the ELG

Adjustments figure out the energy used when:

Hotel needs to be cooled.

Hotel needs to be kept

warm.

There is a change in

occupancy.

Adjustments: What are they?August Last Year Electric Usage: 400,000 kWhAugust Last Year Adjusted Usage: 490,000 kWhAugust This Year Electric Usage: 500,000 kWh

I crunched the numbers. Turns out if last year was as hot as this year the difference in your

electric usage is only 2%.

That sounds reasonable. We did forget to turn lights off in unused rooms. We’ll have to post reminders for everyone.

“Use less energy”? That doesn’t tell

me anything.

Increased gas usage was due to a leak. Peter’s going to arrange

for repairs. Good to know.
