With more and more developers focusing on very high end apartments ment only for the elite class and the expats, the brief focuses on the housing for middle class young migrants to the cities.
The following is the Brief:
“Employing FSI 10.0, design a truly middle class housing scheme of
• 15% Studio apartments of 425 S.f t built up;
• 35% one bedroom of 575 Sqft built up;
• 35% two bedroom of 800 Sqft built up and
• 15% three bedroom built up of 1250 Sqft built up.
• There is no height limit.
• There must be fire refuges.
• Parking for 20% of the units and open space and other facili t ies required by by-laws, on a 10
acre site in Worli sea face.”
