L SCOUT CAMP
A two day adventure camp was organized following the scout training by the
P.E. department of the Al Muntazir Boys Primary at a private beach house in
Kigamboni during the weekend.
The camp was facilitated to reinforce the skills learnt during the scouts
weekly sessions at school. Throughout the camp scouts had the opportunity
to participate in a variety of activities from campfire cooking, handicrafts,
hiking, slacklining, and more!
The camp was headed by the Assistant Scout District Comissioner Mr. Mtitu
and the group scout leader Mr. Jafari along with the P.E. Head of
department Mr. Haule, assisted by teachers Mr. Daniel, Mrs. Johra and the
school nurse Mrs. Prisca.
For boys of grades 4-7, the Adventure Camp aimed at giving all participants,
with our without Scouting experience, the opportunity to participate in an
array of exciting outdoor activities and sports which teach you the skills of
good sportsmanship—following the rules, taking turns and sharing, getting
along with others, and fair play. Every Cub Scout has the chance to learn the
basic skills of a sport or game. Playing and doing your best and having fun
are more important than winning!
