S.D.M College of Physiotherapy & S.D.M College of medical sciences & Hospital celebrates 

“World Physiotherapy Day" 

S.D.M  College  of  Physiotherapy,  S.D.M  College  of medical  sciences &  Hospital &Hubli‐Dharwad  Branch  of  IAP 

celebrated  the "World Physiotherapy Day" at S.D.M Campus Dharwad  to  raise awareness about keeping people 

well, mobile and independent. 

 

During  this occasion, one day physiotherapy camp was organized at S.D.M hospital Dharwad.  In order  to create 

awareness about “World Physiotherapy Day" in and around Hubli Dharwad, advertisements in various Kannada & 

English news papers were given. Through these advertisement patients response was  immense during the camp. 

More  than  300  patients  availed  physiotherapy  services  on  this  day.  Through  this  camp,  various  sub  units  of 

physiotherapy department  such as Musculoskeletal  (orthopedic),Neurology and Neurosurgery, Pediatric  ,Cardio‐

respiratory, General surgery, OBG, Women’s health, Plastic Surgery,CBR, Sports, Fitness and Obesity were made 

aware about physiotherapy services in these subunits.

M.B.B.S., M.D. (Hosp. Admn.) Medical Superintendent encouraged to conduct this camp on this WORLD 

PHYIOTHERAPY DAY. 

Faculty  members  of  S.D.M  College  of  Physiotherapy    Dr.Ravi  Savadatti  Principal,    Dr.Prashant Mukkannavar (Treasurer, IAP HUBLI‐DHARWAD BRANCH), Dr.Sunil KM, Dr. Shweta Kulkarni, Dr.Salma, Dr.Sanjay  Parmar  (Convener  IAP  HUBLI‐DHARWAD  BRANCH),  Dr.Rajeev  Lal, Dr.Satyanarayana,Dr.Poornima,Dr.CG  Prashanth  and  Dr.Jyothi  actively  participated  during  this  camp. Undergraduates and postgraduate students of physiotherapy took active participation in this awareness progrmme.
