NATIONAL YOUTH DAY
National Youth Day creates awareness and provides knowledge about the rights of people in India. It is a
day to educate people to behave properly in the country. The main objective behind the celebration is to
make a better future of the country by motivating the youths and spreading the ideas of the Swami
Vivekananda. National Youth Day is also famous as Yuva Diwas.
REPUBLIC DAY
26th January Republic Day in India is celebrated every year with various formal events including flag-
hoisting and march-past are organized, followed by felicitation with a token of award to the college
academic toppers and “constitution awareness program” in which students and staff members got
information of their duties towards our nation and rights given to them by our constitution.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
Yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient Indian tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body, thought and
action, restraint and fulfillment, harmony between man and nature, and a holistic approach to health and
well-being. This film is an introductory guide to the principles and practice of Yoga, an age- old Indian
spiritual discipline based on extremely subtle science. It showcases how Yoga is both an art and science for
healthy living.
INDEPENDENCE DAY
15th August Independence Day is also celebrated every year in the institution to mark the independence of
India. Chief Guest, especially defense personnel is invited for flag-hoisting. On this occasion, chief guest
shares his experiences to motivate students and staff for their duties towards the nation and rights given to
them by our constitution.
TEACHER’S DAY
5th September (Dr.Sarvpalli RadhaKrishnan Birth Anniversary), we celebrate Dr. Radhakrishnan’s
birthday as Teacher’s Day with great commitment. The students organize a programme with the prayer, for
the teachers and the Guru-Shishya parampara is celebrated and the Institution felicitates eminent
personalities from the educational field. Best teachers for the academic year are identified and felicitated by
the management.
ENGINEER’S DAY
15th September (Engineer’s day, Birth anniversary of Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya)
We celebrate the event as an exceptional tribute to the best Indian Engineer Bharat Ratna Mokshagundam
Visvesvaraya, an eminent engineer. The program starts with garlanding the eminent personality and briefing
the students on the greatness of the awards along with the challenges, duties, and responsibilities of the
present day engineers.
NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME DAY
The motto of National Service Scheme is NOT ME BUT YOU, National Service Scheme (NSS) was
launched during 1969, the birth centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi, in 37 universities involving 40000
students. NSS is an extension dimension to the higher education system to orient the student youth to
community service while they are studying in educational institutions. It is being implemented by the
Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
WORLD AIDS DAY
World aids day awareness program was conducted in V.S.M College of engineering, Ramachandrapuram.
In that program the students and staff will get knowledge on aids.
