Principal Reflections..
Dear Parents
I recall an expression that has been around in schools for eons We promise not to believe everything your children tell us about you,if you dont believe everything they tell you about us.
It is worth a moment of reflection because while I know that on occasions a child can regale parents with some fabulous stories of woe
and that this was so unfair and that did/did not happen and who said what, how to whom .reality is that, as sensible adults,
with life experience on our side, we should have the capacity to realize that interpretational views of certain things are not always as
objective or accurate as they might be.
So a wise mentor of mine once suggested to me that it is always worth 24 hours to take a breath and reflect upon what one has been told
in order to take any emotion out of the issue. Then, if one is still uncertain, arrange to have a chat with the staff member best placed to
assist clarification as to the reality or otherwise of the injustice, while maintaining an open and balanced mind (IBLP) until both sides of
the story are heard.
The door is always open for an appointment to have that chat with any staff member, Head of Section or me.
With best wishes
Tim
Exploring and discovering our Family History!!
Our current UOIs transdisciplinary theme Where we are in place and time, is all about how learning about previous generations
helps us understand the relationship between past and present. We are inquiring into ways to find about the past, how aspects of the paststill influence us today and why some behaviors and practices have changed or remained the same over a period of time.
During our tuning in we drew the different members of our family which includes our parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers,
sisters, cousins and so on. We shared our information with our peers.
We continued our tuning in by creating a graffiti board where we documented our knowledge about our family histories.

The Ecole girls basketball team also came first in their qualifying group that had the American School of Bombay (ASB) and
Singapore International School as their opponents. There were no easy games and they also they had to work hard for their semi-
final victory over BD Somani (BDS). This was an opponent Ecole had failed to beat over the years so it was a much deserved
win. In the final we came up against a very accomplished CVSL team that ran out comfortable 35-13 winners. Girls team:
