Intent is to provide mission and community partners with the opportunity to share information, identify concerns and seek resolution for issues impacting our JBER population.

• Impacts to Mission• Estimated annual cost >$30K; 1200 man-hrs to investigate & clean up
sites/debris • Facility Managers become responsible to remove/dispose of items• Regulatory and safety risk; potential environmental contamination
• Examples• Household waste, yard waste, furniture, freezers and refrigerators• Hazardous wastes, lumber, construction debris• Vehicle parts, engine blocks
• Cameras have been placed at several known sites to ID violators; sending notifications to Commanders

• Owners Must • Register pets with base vet (384-2865) within 7-days of arrival. Pets
must be vaccinated, breed accurately identified--Aurora provides form• Maintain control of pets at ALL times! Dogs may need to be on tethers
in yards and must wear collars• DoD-Wide Restriction on Breeds and Aggressive Pets
• Residents may not board dogs deemed aggressive or potentially aggressive
• Prohibition extends to dogs that demonstrate dominant or aggressive behavior
• Contact SFS for ALL bite incidents (552-3421) & report aggressive animals to SFS, Aurora (753-1023) or Gov’t Housing (552-4439)
Aggressive pets, or those causing injuries, can be removed from JBER! Every incident is reviewed for enforcement, punitive measures and disciplinary action.
