“SERVING THE CHILDREN OF THE WORLD”
Happy New Year! What a better way to celebrate the New Year than by looking back on what we
have accomplished in the first quarter. We’ve worked for the Jazz Festival,
Council on Aging Fall Festival, Boys & Girls Club Christmas Tree Sales,
Adopt a Yard, Precinct, and Highway, Friday Fest, Meals on Wheels, and
Salvation Army Bell Ringing. We also helped our 6 Service Leadership Clubs
get off and running and had 3 fundraisers with the Golf Tournament,
Christmas Auction, and Gourmet Nut Sales. Already thousands of service
hours just since October! Thank you to all of our members for your service
and I look forward to working with more of you!……….President Kay Cherry
Spotlight on Grants………
......
Your Board of Directors are very
diligent in spending the funds that
we raise and every application
submitted is carefully reviewed as to
its purpose. So far this year, over
$11,150 has been allocated for
various projects that will help
thousands of needy families and
children in Bay County and around
the world.
The demands for needed funds are
increasing, so successful fundraising
events are more important now than
ever. Will you help? Children are
counting on us.
KEY CLUB INTERNATIONAL The largest high school service organization in the world, empowers its

passion for helping others and gain leadership skills they will carry with them
for a lifetime. A quarter-million members and 5,000 clubs in 38 nations with
12 million annual service hours, WOW!

Object of Kiwanis……
“To ENCOURAGE the daily living
of the Golden Rule in all human
relationships.”
The golden rule is best interpreted as saying: "Treat others only as you consent to being treated in the same situation." It is endorsed by all the great world religions and for many centuries the idea has been influential among people of very diverse cultures. These facts suggest that the golden rule may be an important moral truth even today.
What is Kiwanis………………?
“Kiwanis is a global organization
of volunteers dedicated to
changing the world one child and
one community at a time”
