What is our climate like?
• Not too hot and not too cold. (Temperate climate)
• Never have snow in PE but sometimes inland.• Most of our rain falls in winter. • It is now Spring. • Today is overcast and getting cooler. • Temperature is 21° C.

• We live in the Eastern Cape Region. • There are nine regions in South Africa.• We speak English, Afrikaans and Xhosa and
some people speak Zulu.• There are 11 official languages in SA.

Our Region
• Eastern Cape is known as the adventure province.
• People do sky diving. • People go sailing and surfing. • There are great beaches but in some places
sharks can be a problem. • Watch whales. • Climb mountains and hike.
Our beautiful scenery
Animals found in Game Parks
We get elephants, lions, leopards, monkeys, buffalo, giraffe, hippo, blue cranes, rhino, zebras and lots of different buck. We also get snakes.
Our vegetation is mostly fynbos but we also get aloes and plants
like the beautiful clivia which grows in forests.
