HEATING PROCESS - THIS IS A CLOSED LOOP SYSTEM USING A HEATEXCHANGER IN THE TANK AND FOOD GRADE ANTI-FREEZE AS THE HEATTRANSFER FLUID. IT ALSO INCORPORATES A GRAVITY FLOW DESIGN WITHTHE TANK LOCATED ABOVE THE COLLECTORS. COLDER HEAT TRANSFERFLUID IS DENSER THAN WARM. IT SETTLES AND ENTERS THE BOTTOM OFTHE COLLECTORS. AS THE SUN, STRIKES THE COLLECTORS THE TRANSFERFLUID HEATS AND RISES ENTERING THE STORAGE TANK WHERE IT CAUSESCOLDER TRANSFER FLUID TO DROP INTO THE BOTTOM OF THECOLLECTORS IN A CONTINUOUS PROCESS SO LONG AS THE SUN ISSHINING.STRUCTURAL LOADING - THIS SYSTEM IMPOSES LESS THAN 18-PSFGRAVITY LOADING UPON THE ROOF FRAMING - WHICH IS WITHINALLOWABLE LIMITS. CONTRACTOR IS DIRECTED TO PLACE THE TANK ASCLOSE TO THE RIDGE AS POSSIBLE. PZ2 WIDTH IS 3 FEET. WIND LOADPOSITIVE PRESSURE IS NEGLIGIBLE. WIND UPLIFT LOADS ARE: PZ1_-17;PZ2_-28.8 PSF; PZ3_-47.9 PSF.
