CHAPTER 12 SOLID GEOMETRY 1 1. Geometric solids are three-dimensional shapes, that have length, breadth and
height. Cylinder Cube
Edge Face Vertex Cuboid
2. A cuboid and a cube each has 8 vertices, 12 edges and 6 faces. 3. A cube is a special type of cuboid in which all the edges have the same length.
4. A cube and a cuboid can be made by joining 6 faces or by folding the layouts
of the solids.
5. Volume is a measure of the amount of space occupied.
6. Volume of a cuboid = Length x Breadth x Height
7. Volume of a cube = Length x Length x Length Length
