What do the numbers tell us?TRENDS ONLY – the numbers alone don’t tell us where individual skaters have gone.• Girls may switch from the youth program to the girls
program and vice-versa• Players going to and returning from Tier I programs (Jr.
Gamblers, Jr. Admirals)• Player transfers in/out for one season • Families moving out of AAHA boundaries• Players entering the High School program• Players who stop playing hockey altogetherThis information is being studied more closely to follow the movement of individual skaters and to determine the actual growth and loss we are experiencing throughout the program.

Program Operations Update
•Welcomed back Goalies, Inc this season – Continue to
improve our goalie training and support
•Teams practiced 2-3 times per week on average
•Pre-season Gamblers game at AFIC to raise funds for our
program – SUCCESS once again! • This should continue again in 2019
•“Learn to Play” program has grown to 43 skaters
Avalanche
Program Operations Offseason Focus•Champion Center
• How will this affect available practice times?
•Tournaments• AAHA will be hosting additional tournaments at Champion Center
• Jan 24-26: Squirt A/B (tentative)
• Feb 21-23: Peewee A/B (tentative)
• Girls Winter Classic and Monsters on Ice to move to Champion Center
• AAHA not hosting any 2020 State Tournaments
• Exact impact on volunteer requirements TBD
Avalanche
Program Operations Offseason Focus• Scheduling
• Master Game Scheduler and Master Practice Scheduler• Create procedure for coaches/team managers when adding new
games/tournaments• Master Schedulers need to be kept in the loop of all schedule changes
to prevent last minute cancellations and empty ice
• DIBs• More frequent updating of completed credits• Clarification of DIBs roles, credits awarded, and who can and cannot
create DIBs positions• Improved procedures to prevent late season cancellations
• Bantams moving to high school have no incentive to pay if invoiced• Final determination of credits per family still needs to be made for ‘19/’20
Avalanche
Program Operations Offseason Focus
•Sportsmanship/Zero-Tolerance Awareness• Improvement needed with behavior of coaches, parents, and kids in
AAHA
• It all starts with the adults!
• This also applies to behavior towards other AAHA members and
teams
• How can we change this culture?
